FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: How much time do I need to promote my show?

A: Press Release 6 weeks prior to show. Postcards 2-3 weeks prior to show. Email Blasts 1-2 weeks prior to show.

Q: How can I get a reviewer to review my show?

A: This is a tough one... outside of buying a full page ad in their publication. The best way is to do 2 shows inviting the reviewer to the 1st one to plug the 2nd one which should be 30 days from the 1st one.

Q: Any tips on how to get a full house?

A: My feeling is the more audience the better your show because they seem to react off one another. So I tell singers to keep the cover charge down, you'll get more people that way and make up the loss in volume. They're also more likely to come and bring a friend if you offer a 2 for 1 discount. And get out and promote at Open Mic Mondays at Vermont, and at Mundy on Tuesdays Open Mic at Gardenia.  It's a wonderful way to make friends and build your fan base. Don't forget to go and see other singers shows, they are more likely to come to yours if you do.
